Marie Anna Waller

Marie Anna Waller, nee Hoff, 94, of Lively Grove, IL, born Nov. 26, 1918 in Lively Grove, IL, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at her home with her family at her side.


Marie and her husband George started the family
business “Waller’s Market” in 1949 in Lively Grove. Marie was the bookkeeper and she and her husband were also farmers in Lively Grove. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Lively Grove, IL and St. Anthony’s Ladies Sodality.

She was preceded in death by her husband George J. Waller whom she married in Lively Grove on March 17, 1943 and who died Oct. 20, 1972, a son, Kenneth Waller, a grandson Mark Wienstroer, her parents, George and Anna, nee Greten, Hoff, three brothers, Herbert, Clarence and Albert Hoff and a sister, Agnes C. Weber.


Surviving are six children, Marilyn (Art) Wienstroer, David Waller, Gerald Waller, Donna (David) Weber, Glennon (Donna) Waller and George Waller, all of Lively Grove, IL; a daughter-in-law, Paula Waller of Freeburg, IL; 18 grandchildren, Steve (Margaret) Wienstroer, Keith (Pam) Wienstroer, Ron (Diane) Wienstroer, Ann Marie (Mark) Brazinski, Paula Jean (Jarid) Wendling, John (Jenny) Wienstroer, Patrick (Nicole) Wienstroer, Daniel Wienstroer, Mandi (Brian) Huelsmann, Marci (Don) Coryell, Melissa Waller and fiancé Brent Frederking, Christy Kirchner, Sarah Waller, Mathew Waller, Leanne (Jim) Morrison, Jonathan (Rebecca) Waller, Jacqueline Waller, and Sophia Waller; 28 great-grandchildren, Brianna, Dean Noah, Shawn, Megan, Macey, Madisyn, Alex, Sam, and Jack Wienstroer, Jordan and Jack Brazinski, Justin and Katelyn Wendling, Malia, Mia, Joey, and Max Garrison, Davis Wienstroer, Drew Ferguson, Abby Huelsmann, Dylan and Myra Coryell, Ashley, Tyler, and Michael Kirchner and Kendal Morrison; a sister, Hilda Shubert and numerous nieces and nephews.


Memorials may be made in the form of Masses, or to St. Anthony’s Cemetery Fund.


Visitation: visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 and from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Lively Grove, IL. A recitation of the rosary will be held 4 PM Wednesday at the church.


Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, Jan 31, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Lively Grove, IL with Rev. Dennis Voss officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
