James Lee Mazander

James Lee Mazander, 67, of Mascoutah, IL, born Oct. 19, 1945 in Belleville, IL, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was a retired Director of Information Technology from Mississippi Lime Co. in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, he attended St. Paul United Church of Christ in Lebanon, IL; and was a U. S. Air Force Vietnam veteran receiving the Bronze Star medal for meritorious service as Chief Forecaster, Detachment 18, 30th Weather Squadron, Cam Ranh Bay Air Base, Republic of Vietnam.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Marjorie, nee Kroener, Mazander; and a sister-in-law, Sharon Mazander.

James is survived by his three children, Jon (Kelly) Mazander of Mansfield, OH, Jamie (Timothy) Moll of Mascoutah, IL, and Joshua (Danielle) Mazander of Mascoutah, IL; six grandchildren, Peyton and Haley Mazander, Samuel, Olivia, and Ian Moll, and Adelyn Mazander; a brother, Ronald (Marcia) Mazander of Coulterville, IL; a sister, Faye (Ray) Robinson of Coulterville, IL; an aunt, nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

James lived a principal life in which his faith, family, and country were his passion. He focused his talents and love on and for his children and grandchildren.

Visitation: will be held from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Moll Funeral Home, Mascoutah, IL, and from 9 to 10 AM Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: funeral services will be held 10 AM Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah with Pastor Hugh Fitz and Pastor Donald Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
