Dorothy Charlotte Frances Lake Juenger, nee Albers, 86 of New Athens, IL formerly of Lively Grove, IL, born Aug. 2, 1926 in Lively Grove Township, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at the New Athens Home for Aged.

Known as “Dottie”, she was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Lively Grove, IL; St. Anthony’s Council of Catholic Women; the St. Libory American Legion Auxiliary, and the St. Louis Metro Polka Club. Dottie was proud of her large family, enjoyed playing cards, dancing and quilting. She loved the people when she worked at Chicken’s Restaurant in St. Libory, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Dora, nee Wienstroer, Albers; her first husband, Alphonse Lake whom she married in Lively Grove, IL on Oct. 22, 1947 and who died Jan. 8, 1976; her second husband,
Allen Juenger whom she married in Lenzburg, IL on Jan. 1, 1982 and who died on Apr. 22, 2004; four sons,
Samuel on June 14, 1980, Patrick on Oct. 29, 1982, Kenneth on
Apr. 10, 2010, and Frank on Apr. 8, 2011; a granddaughter, Hilliary Pryor on June 28, 1985, and great-grandson, Kendall Lake on July 16, 1999.

Surviving are her children, Terry “Otto” (Barbara) Lake of Biddleborn, IL, their children, Daniel (Joanna) Lake and DeAnne (Ryan) Renken and great-grandchildren Garrett and Ruth; Phyllis (James) Gass of Shiloh, IL, their children Christopher (Sarah) Gass and great-grandchildren Nicholas, Jacob and Hailey and Benjamin Gass; Connie (John) Bunch of Millstadt, IL, her children Jeffrey (Stephanie) Reuss and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Lauryn and Michael (Lindsey) Reuss, and great-grandchildren Grant, Olivia, Jack, Cooper and Hudson; Lisa (Danny) Krausz of Mascoutah, IL, and her son Eric Moll; Jackie (friend Joe Moerchen) Lake of Freeburg, IL, her children Joshua (Amy) Pryor, and great- grandchild Tenley and Jacob Pryor; George Lake of St. Libory, IL; and Jill (Tony) Jones of Collinsville, IL, and her son, Jordan Schwankhaus; daughter-in-law, Carla Lake of New Athens, IL and her children Tina (Paul) Hopper and great-grandchild, Carson and Kendra (Jamie) Newman and great-grandchildren Kamden and Kennedy, granddaughter Amy (Matthew) Hill, and great-grandchildren Lerin, Emmerson and Jaxon; five sisters and three brothers, Loretta Frederking of Okawville, IL, Juliet Frederking of Nashville, IL, Virginia (Mel) Gaubatz of New Athens, IL, Charlotte (Dan) Wombacher of Mascoutah, IL, Sandra (Bob) Klein of O’Fallon, IL, Ardell (Marcella) Albers of O’Fallon, IL, Gene (Pat) Albers of Freeburg, IL, and Walter (Viola) Albers of Lively Grove, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Cemetery Fund.

Visitation: visitation will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Lively Grove, IL.

Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 2 PM Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Lively Grove, IL with Fr. Stan Konieczny officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
