Raymond E. Stephens

Raymond E. Stephens, 73, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 11, 1939 in Helena, AR died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.


Raymond was a retired SMSgt. from the United States Air Force.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Magdalena, nee Massong, Stephens who died Nov. 18, 2011, his parents, A.G. and Aleen, nee Davis, Stephens and three brothers.


He is survived by his children, Raymond N. (Terrie) Stephens of Lebanon, IL, Robert W. Stephens of South Bay, FL, Mary C. (Norbert) Chalupka of Calgary Alberta Canada, Andrew D. Stephens of New Baden, IL; four grandchildren, Richard E. Stephens, Nikki Rae Stephens, Terra (Steven) Sarrants and Tasha Chalupka; two great grandchildren, Archimedes A. Stephens and Olivia Sarrants.


Memorials may be given to Clinton Manor Living Center, 300 East Illinois, P.O. Box 19, New Baden, IL 62265.


Funeral: Raymond’s wishes were to be cremated with a private family service.
