Albert W. Graul, Jr., 75, of Gravette, AR formerly of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 1, 1937 in Mascoutah, IL, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, AR.

Albert was retired from Contel Telephone Co.; a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, IL; Mascoutah Douglas Lodge #361 AF & AM; Shriners Ainad Temple; past Matron of the Eastern Star; and retired from the Mascoutah Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert W., Sr. and Elvera, nee Ohlendorf, Graul; and a daughter, Denise Gauch.

He is survived by his wife, Helen C., nee Novoselec, Graul, who he married in Hillsboro, MO on Aug. 13, 1960; four children, Frank Graul of Memphis, TN, John Graul of New Baden, IL, Julie Edwards of New Baden, IL, and Jodie (Paul) Yates of Rogers, AR; a son-in-law, Elton Gauch of Belleville, IL; 11 grandchildren, Tiffany, Jessica, Alison, Angelia, John, Dustin, Trevor, Andrew, Nathan, Steve, and Jeff; five great-grandchildren, Mallory, Madeline, Alex, Adam, and Sara; a brother, Curt (Fran) Graul of Mascoutah, IL; five sisters, Alice (Chester) Black of LaFayette, IN, Edna (Phillip) Cole of St. Louis, MO, Pearl (Charles) Ballot of Mascoutah, IL, Carol (Ben) Rasch of Mascoutah, IL, and Nancy (Dave) Wambold of Mascoutah, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL, and from 9 to 10 AM Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah. A Mascoutah Volunteer Fireman walk through will be at 6 PM Friday and a Masonic service will be held at 7 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, IL with Rev. Gretchen Sterrett officiating.  Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
