Gary Lee Vielweber, Jr.

Gary L. Vielweber, Jr., 34, of Columbus, GA formerly of Freeburg, IL, born Apr. 8, 1978, in Belleville, IL, departed this life Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, in a roofing accident.

Gary attended Freeburg Community High School and had been roofing the majority of his adult life. He enjoyed biking, fishing, old model Fords, and being surrounded by his family and friends. Gary’s smile could light up a room and he knew how to keep everyone laughing; he lived life to the fullest.

Gary was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Lester Vielweber and Doris Weekley; Maternal Grandparents, Arthur and Roma Hunt; Aunts, Danna Steinhauer and Diane Hassler.

Left to mourn his passing are his parents Gary, Sr. and Darla Vielweber of St. Louis, MO; a son, Kaleb; a sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Roman Solis of Phenix City, AL; a brother and his fiancé, Zachary Vielweber and Kelly Koller of Freeburg, IL; a nephew Mannie and niece Bella Solis both of Phenix City, AL; a girlfriend, Megan Hughes of Columbus, GA; aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family of Gary Vielweber, Jr.

A Public Memorial Service will be held at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, Illinois from 4pm to 7pm Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012.  Following the Memorial we will have a celebration of Gary Lee’s Life at the Faye Inn in Fayetteville, IL.
