Ralph E. Vogt, Sr., 72, of Fayetteville, IL, born Feb. 18, 1940 in St. Louis, MO, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012 at his residence.
Ralph was retired from the United States Army, retired molder for Modern Foundry in Mascoutah and Century Brass in Swansea; and was a US Army Desert Storm veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Yoshi, nee Shingaki, Vogt whom he married in Naha, Okinawa on Sept. 26, 1961 and who died Nov. 11, 2008; his parents, Elmer F. and Louella, nee Lumley, Vogt; and a son, Vincent Vogt.
He is survived by three children, Ralph (Jade) Vogt, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, Victor (Linda) Vogt of Defuniak Springs, FL, and Victoria Ferguson of Fayetteville, IL; 15 grand-children; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Marvin “Jack” Vogt, Sr. of Fort Walton Beach, FL; a sister, Elizabeth “Judy” Holloman of Belleville, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral: Military graveside services will be held 10 AM Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating.
