Ardell J. Mueller, Sr., 84, of New Baden, IL, born Nov. 6, 1927 in Belleville, IL, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012 at Terrace on the Park, Mascoutah, IL.
Ardell was retired from Civil Service at Scott Air Force Base and was also a retired farmer. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah; member of O’Fallon Masonic Lodge #576 AF & AM; Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Southern Illinois; Dania Shrine Club; Order of Eastern Star; Mascoutah Moose Lodge #815; and was a WW II Army Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Marie A., nee Gartiser, Mueller.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ileen C., nee Eisel, Mueller whom he married in Lebanon, IL on July 3, 1949; a son, Ardell J. (Susan) Mueller, Jr. of Mt. Prospect, IL; three grandchildren, Laura (Matthew) Newton of Park Ridge, IL, Kristie (Matthew) Welke of Park Ridge, IL, and Jill Mueller of Chicago, IL; four great-grandchildren, Madeline and Dane Welke, and Clair and Allie Newton; a brother, John (Mildred) Mueller of Wayne, PA.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at Moll Funeral Home, in Mascoutah, IL, and from 9 to 10 AM Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012 at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL. There will be a Masonic Service at 7:30 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at St. John United Church of Christ with The Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
