David L. Lichtenegger, 59, of Fairview Heights, IL born Feb. 25, 1953 in Amarillo, TX, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012 at Frank Holten State Park.
He was a laboratory technician at Touchette Regional Hospital. David loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating and motorcycling. He attended First Baptist Church in Fairview Heights and had a passion for maintaining homes for the elderly. He loved Jesus and his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey E. and Alyce J., nee Evans, Lichtenegger.
Surviving are his wife, Penny, nee Stuelmeyer, Lichtenegger, whom he married in Centralia, IL on May 2, 1998; a son, Chad and fiancé, Jamie Buckley of Fairview Heights, IL; two step-sons, Justin (Lindsay) Wright of De Soto, IL and Christopher Glenn of Fairview Heights, IL; a grandson, Tyler Lichtenegger; a step-granddaughter, Jayden Wright; a step-sister, Glenda Sue (Paul) Rainey of Springfield, MO; a step-brother, Terry (Kathy) McGhee of Bethalto, IL; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10 AM to 12 noon Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at Moll Funeral Home, in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at Moll Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Kerr officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
