Betty Jo Berner

Betty Jo Berner, nee Whaley, 58, of Mascoutah, IL, born Oct. 14, 1953 in Desloge, MO, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at her residence.


She was a retired CNA for St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where she was employed for 28 years.


She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kasmine Berner-Scott, her parents, William and Barbara, nee Tarnacki, Whaley and a sister, Janice Scheibel.


Surviving are her husband, Paul E. Berner whom she married in Lebanon, IL on June 24, 1972; two daughters, Julia Biggs of Mascoutah, IL and Katherine Berner of Belleville, IL; two grandchildren, Adrian Scott and Samuel Biggs; a sister, Sherry Rasco of Houston, TX; also survived by nieces and nephews.


In lieu of all other gifts memorials may be given to the family.


Visitation: Friends may call from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012 at Moll Funeral Home with the Rev. Edmund Schmulbach officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
