M. Charlotte Fritz

Mary Charlotte Fritz, nee Woodside, 91, of Fayetteville, IL, born Jan. 9, 1921 in Perry County, IL died Friday, July 20, 2012 at Freeburg Care Center.


Charlotte was a homemaker, an accomplished seamstress and quilter, a former member of Trinity U.C.C. in Fayetteville for 67 years and attended St. John U.C.C. in Mascoutah.


She was preceded in death by her husband, August W. “Toss” Fritz whom she married in Berger, MO on Sept. 13, 1942. They made their home on the family farm in Fayetteville, IL and he died June 18, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Anna M., nee Heinike, Woodside, five brothers, Millard, Irl, Clyde, Wilmer and R. Dale Woodside and three sisters, Theo Woodside, Gertrude Birchler and S. June Vuichard.


Surviving are her children, Keith (Anita) Fritz of Fayetteville, IL and Gail (Raul) Ayala of Carbondale; four grandchildren, Bryan (Nichole) Fritz and Kevin (Jamie) Fritz, both of Fayetteville, IL, Marc (Amanda) Ayala of Robins, IA and Alison Ayala of Chicago, IL; six great grandchildren, Shane, Gunner, Briley and Payton Fritz and Matthew and Ethan Ayala; three sisters, Eris Ogilvie, Joan Birchler and L. Cleo O’Brien; a brother, John Woodside; she was a special aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL and from 9 to 10 AM Monday, July 23 at St. John U.C.C. in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday, July 23, 2012 at St. John U.C.C. with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity U.C.C. Cemetery, Fayetteville, IL.
