Paul E. Richter

Paul E. Richter, 73, of Mascoutah, IL, born Aug. 15, 1934 in Belleville, IL, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 at Touchette Regional Hospital, Centreville, IL.


Paul was a retired coal miner from Peabody River King Mine, Freeburg, IL.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernst and Mathilda, nee Pabst, Richter, and a son Todd Kane Richter.


He is survived by his wife, Joyce E., nee Brockwell, Richter whom he married in Belleville, IL on April 12, 1970; a stepson, Randy Koesterer of Mascoutah, IL; a stepdaughter, Diana Jean (Tony) Soavia of Belleville, IL; five step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Erna Richter of Freeburg, IL, and Rosemary Richter of Sullivan, IL; two brothers, David (Linda) Richter of Ridgecrest, CA, and Dale (Joanne) Richter of Vacaville, CA; a nephew and two nieces.


Memorials may be made to Hoyleton Children’s Home.


Visitation: Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL with Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Green Mount Protestant Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
