Hazel E. Funke

Hazel E. Funke, 85, of Mascoutah, IL, born June 28, 1922 in Hattieville, AR, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007 at her residence.


Hazel was a retired beautician and enjoyed volunteering at the Mascoutah Senior Center.


She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis H. Funke whom she married April 25, 1942 in Morley, MO and who died April 21, 1993, her parents, James Arthur and Ollie, nee Tate, Ray, four brothers and one sister.


She is survived by two sons, Harold (Sandra) Funke of St. Peters, MO, Robert (Kathy) Funke of O’Fallon, IL, a daughter, Judy (Barry) Chociej of Trenton, IL, nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Ronald (Jan) Ray of Dallas, TX, Richard (Betty) Ray of Collinsville, IL, a sister, Mildred (Troy) Scott of Charleston, MO and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Moll Funeral Home with Jack Spratte and Barbara Van Ausdall officiating. Burial of cremains will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
