Lou Ann Going

Lou Ann Going, nee Frederking, 71, of Mascoutah, IL, born Mar. 6, 1936 in Okawville, IL, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL.


Mrs. Going was a homemaker, member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah, past president and member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Mascoutah, and an active member and board member of the Mascoutah Senior Program.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Ardell F. Going, whom she married in Okawville, IL on Dec. 15, 1962, and who died on June 29, 2005; her parents, William and Anna, nee Wernecke, Frederking; three brothers, Edwin, Norvin, and Wilmer Frederking; and a sister, Arline Kraus.


She is survived by two daughters, Ramona (Wayne) Friederich of Mascoutah, IL, and Rebecca (Phillip) Allen of New Baden, IL; four grandchildren, Justin Friederich of Mascoutah, IL, Alicia Friederich of Mascoutah, IL, Derek (Ashley) Karban of New Baden, IL, and Kristen Karban of New Baden, IL; a great grandson, Derek James Karban; two sisters, Lorene Weihe of Okawville, IL, and Valeria (Robert) Heckert of Stone Church, IL; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Judy Frederking of Okawville, IL, Lorene Frederking of Altamont, IL, Stanley (Irene) Going of Okawville, IL, Shirley Meyer of Carbondale, IL, Shelby (George) Vance of Petaluma, CA, and Vernette (Jerry) Homann of Highland, IL; nieces and nephews.


Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Memorial Fund, or MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Assn.).


Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2008 at Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2008 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah, IL with the Rev. Kirk Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
