Wilmer E. Rasp, 78, of Belleville, IL, born Oct. 8, 1929 in Belleville, IL, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at his residence.


Wilmer was a retired farmer and a past member of St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Fayetteville, IL. He was a Korean War U. S. Navy veteran.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene J. and Edna M., nee Rist, Rasp; stepfather, Walter Amann, and three nephews, Rick, Chris, and Matthew Rasp.


He is survived by two brothers, James (Shirley) Rasp of Belleville, IL, and Orville (Fern) Rasp of Mascoutah, IL; nieces and nephews, Kathy Rasp, Mark (Susan) Rasp, Shari (Gene Alan) Campbell, Robert Rasp, Linda (Ronnie) Krausz, Kenny Rasp, and Karen (Mike) Wobbe; 12 great nieces and great nephews.


Memorials may be made to Holy Childhood Memorial Improvement Fund.


Visitation: There will be no visitation.


Funeral: A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church with Msgr. James Blazine officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
