Rosalia M. Orlet nee Brand, 96, of Mascoutah, IL born Sept. 4, 1911 in Hecker, IL, died Thursday, Mar. 27, 2008 at MarKa Nursing Home, Mascoutah, IL.
She was a homemaker, a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church and the Holy Childhood Council of Catholic Women in Mascoutah, IL.
Rosalia was preceded in death by her husband, Leo G. Orlet, whom she married in Belleville, IL on Jan. 20, 1937 and who died Sept. 14, 1996, a son Paul Orlet, a great-grandson, Matthew Orlet, her parents, Anton and Catherine, nee Crowe, Brand, a brother, Henry Brand, a sister, Bertille Klein, and a brother and sister in infancy.
She is survived by a son, Henry (Phyliss) Orlet of Mascoutah, IL, 2 daughters, Marita (Nick) Strubhart of Aviston, IL, JoAnn (Gerald) Schoenherr of O’Fallon, MO, 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Phyllis Orlet of Belleville, IL and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made to Holy Childhood Memorial Improvement Fund or in the form of Masses.
Visitation: friends may call from 4 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 30, 2008 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A recitation of the Rosary will begin at 4:00 p.m. Sunday evening.
Funeral: a funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2008 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery.
