William A. Dakin

William A. Dakin, 70, of Mascoutah, IL, born Oct. 17, 1937 in Ullin, IL, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, IL.


He was a retired machine operator from Ralcorp and served in the U. S. Army.


He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edith, nee Berry, Dakin, and a sister Dorothy Bernier.


He is survived by his wife, Bernice I., nee Gramm, Dakin; a stepdaughter, Carol (Gene) Haas of Belleville, IL; two step-grandchildren, Patrick Haas of O’Fallon, IL, and Shelley (Darren) Rutmanis of Belleville, IL; four step-great grandchildren, David, McKenna, McKenzie, and Hunter Haas; three brothers, five sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p. m. Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL,


Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Moll Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Woolever officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Mascoutah City Cemetery following cremation.
