Elvira A. Behrmann

Elvira A. Behrmann, nee Wienstroer, 92, of St. Libory, IL, born Jan. 21, 1916 in Lively Grove, IL, died Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, IL.


She was a retired custodian from the St. Libory Grade School, a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church, St. Liborius Council of Catholic Women, St. Libory American Legion Auxiliary and Freeburg Senior Citizens.


She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew H. Behrmann whom she married in Lively Grove, IL on Aug. 17, 1938 and who died on Aug. 21, 1977, her parents, Henry J. and Josephine C., nee Behrmann, Wienstroer, a daughter Dorothy Mae Behrmann, four brothers, Harry, Alfred, Joseph and Norbert Wienstroer, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Catherine Behrmann.


She is survived by two sons, Dennis (Elaine) Behrmann of Albers, IL, and William (Jean) Behrmann of St. Libory, IL, two daughters, Jane (Charlie) Otten of St. Libory, IL, and JoAnn (Milton) Vosse of Freeburg, IL; 15 grandchildren, Phyllis (Vic) Book, Scott (Shelly) Behrmann, Clifford Behrmann, Dennis Behrmann, David (Brenda) Otten, Dale Otten, Brian Otten, Paul (Beth) Otten, Connie (Rob) Huebner, Eric (Tiffany) Behrmann, Ryan (fiancé Heather) Behrmann, Adam Behrmann, Kyle Behrmann, Nathan Vosse and Katie Vosse; 16 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey, and Ben Behrmann, Brandon and Alicia Book, Daniel, Olivia, Paige, Abby, Emily, Carley and Lane Otten, Brittany, Drew, and Mitchell Huebner, and Emma Behrmann; two brothers, Herbert (Lorraine) Wienstroer of Belleville, IL, Jerry (Edna) Wienstroer of St. Libory, IL, four sisters, Marie Jennetten of Peoria, IL, Irma Lintker of St. Libory, IL, Henrietta Kramper of Lively Grove, IL, and Betty (Tom) Norrenberns of Mascoutah, IL; a special friend, Dale (Suzanne) Ternaprovich of Belleville, IL, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.


Memorials may be made in the form of masses, St. Liborius Parish Center Building Fund, or Freeburg Care Center Activity Dept.


Visitation: from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2008 and Saturday, June 14 from 7 to 9:30 a.m. at the Moll Funeral Home in St. Libory, IL. A prayer service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.


Funeral: A funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008 at St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, IL with Rev. Dennis Voss officiating. Burial will be in St. Liborius Catholic Cemetery.
