Margaret T. Loeffler, nee Schmidt, 83, of Lively Grove, IL, born Oct. 24, 1924 in St. Charles County, MO, died Sunday, June 15, 2008 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL.
She was a homemaker and an avid quilter, a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Lively Grove, IL and a former member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, St. Charles, MO.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence C. Loeffler, whom she married Sept. 24, 1947 in St. Charles Co., MO and who died Aug. 30, 1974, her parents, Frederick and Josephine, nee Vogt, Schmidt, two sisters and five brothers.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary (Dan) Arens of Lively Grove, IL, a son, Gary (Sabrina) Loeffler of St. Charles, MO; six grandchildren, Cindy (Dave) Kokott, Janice Arens, Jeffrey Arens, Kelly Loeffler, Megan Loeffler, and Kristen Loeffler; two great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Kordelia Kokott; and a sister, Jeanette Gant of Florida.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assn.; to Sisters of the Most Precious Blood, O’Fallon, MO; to masses; or to any charity of the donor’s choice.
Visitation: from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Funeral: A funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL with Rev. Dennis Voss officiating. Burial will be in Assumption Catholic Church Cemetery, O’Fallon, MO at a later date.
