Patricia Ann Huff

October 17, 1946 — July 22, 2008

Patricia Ann Huff, nee Schaefer, of Mascoutah, IL, born Oct. 17, 1946 passed away at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO on July 22, 2008 after a long battle with cancer.


Pat loved her God, her church and her family, especially her three
grandchildren. She was kind, courageous, and an inspiration to those who knew her. She lived a full life enjoying many hobbies with family and friends, including camping, boating, canoeing, snow skiing, riding snowmobiles and she was an avid quilter.


Patricia worked at Scott Air Force Base and retired from civil service as a secretary in 2006. She was a member of Holy Childhood of Jesus Church and was generous with her time and talents to church, community and family.


She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Schaefer, and a brother, Delmar Schaefer.


Pat is survived by her mother, Adele A., nee Kreke, Schaefer of Belleville, IL, her devoted husband, William W. Huff of Mascoutah, IL whom she married in 1966; her son, William W. (Laura) Huff II of Belleville, IL; her daughter, Julie A. (Matt) Meinert of Florissant, MO; her grandchildren, Stephanie A. Meinert, Cody J. Meinert, and Elliot O. Huff; siblings Jeanette (Rich) Dorrough of Belleville, IL, Betty (Mike) Luhning of Belleville, IL, Elli (Mike Opel) Schaefer of Columbia, IL, Robert (Donna) Schaefer of Indianapolis, IN; brother-in-law, John (Carol) Huff; sister-in-law, Sue Victoria; nieces, nephews, and many friends.


She was our Dear Wife, Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. We will miss you!


Memorials may be made to Holy Childhood Memorial Improvement Fund or to the American Cancer Society.


Visitation: friends may call from 4 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A prayer service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday evening.


Funeral: a funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2008 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery.
