Heaven is a happier place because Charles Frank Graul died September 12, 2008 at MarKa Nursing Home at the age of 82.
In heaven he joins his beloved wife, Lorena, nee Kraemer, Graul of 48 years, his parents, Fred and Mary, nee Perschbacher, Graul, four sisters, Irene Mitchell, Henrietta Guillaume, Loretta Knapp and Virginia Schaefer and a brother, Alfred Graul.
He leaves behind family who adored him, a daughter, Linda (Perry) Danford of Mascoutah, IL, a son, Charles (Janet) Graul of Sidell, IL, four grandchildren, Dara (Mark) Catron of Sidney, IL, Keren (Tony) Frederick of Huntersville, NC, Jason Graul of Pensacola, FL and Rachael (Jeremy) Bearth of Mascoutah, IL, five great-grandchildren, Ayradi and Tucker Catron, Lucas and Lauren Frederick and Grace Bearth, a sister, Marie Cathey of Walla Walla, WA, two brothers, Richard Graul of Mascoutah and George Graul of Georgia.
Dad had a rich and full life serving and helping others. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He retired after 25 years of service as a corporal with the Illinois State Police, was past mayor of the city of Mascoutah, past supervisor of Mascoutah Township, past county board member and a life long member of St. John U. C. C., Mascoutah, IL.
Dad loved to laugh, he loved gardening and loved his family.

There will be no visitation.
Dad requested cremation and private graveside services with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating.
