Echo L. Hale, nee Dillon, 93, of Florissant, MO, formerly of Mascoutah, IL, born Mar. 31, 1915 in Mascoutah, IL, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008 at the Bent-Wood Nursing Center, Florissant, MO.


Echo was a retired secretary from PET Milk in St. Louis, MO; a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah; and the Mascoutah Senior Citizens.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Hale; and her parents, Harry and Mayme, nee Klees, Dillon.


She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn (Vernon) Smith of Florissant, MO; two grandchildren, Farley (Rhonda) Smith of Alton, IL, and Rachel (Kevin) Barnett of Eureka, MO; four great-grandchildren, Jenna and Joshua Smith, and Benjamin and Luke Barnett.


Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, IL.


Visitation: friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
