Joel M. Brady, Jr.

Joel M. Brady, Jr., 79, of Mascoutah, IL, born Mar. 20, 1929 in Atoka, OK, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008 at Four Fountains Convalescent Center in Belleville, IL.


Joel was a lineman retiring from the I.B.E.W. Local. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Atoka, OK; the American Legion Post 292 of Mascoutah, IL; and a U. S. Air Force Korean War veteran.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Joel M. and Autie, nee Coats, Brady, Sr.; a brother, Kelly Jack Brady, a sister, Marie Lucille Hall, and brother-in-law, Patrick Hall.


He is survived by two sons, Earl Mark Brady of California, James Michael (Sandy) Brady of Springfield, IL; a daughter, Shirley Jo Brady of Henrietta, OK; five grandchildren; a sister, Shirley (Lynn) Daniel of Atoka, OK; close friends, Helen Beale and Ed Anderson of Mascoutah, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.


There will be no visitation or services. Cremation will take place followed by burial in
Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
