Arnold J. Feldt

Arnold J. Feldt, 74, of New Memphis, IL, born Sept. 2, 1934 in Mascoutah, IL, died Dec. 29, 2008 at his residence.


Mr. Feldt was a retired school teacher and coach from Marie Schaefer Elementary School in O’Fallon, IL. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a graduate of Mascoutah High School and McKendree College in Lebanon, where he played baseball and basketball.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph H. and Elva C., nee Korte, Feldt, a brother, Orville Feldt, and two sisters, Arleen and Luellan Feldt in infancy.


He is survived by a son, Stephen Feldt of Cleveland, OH; three grandchildren, Anna, Scarlett and Grant Feldt; three brothers, Henry “Hank” Feldt of Mascoutah, IL, Randy (Donna) Feldt of New Baden, IL, Richard “Rick” Feldt of Mascoutah, IL; 3 sisters, Anita (Robert “Buck”) Fochtmann of New Baden, IL, Margaret (Morris) Oltmann of Mascoutah, IL, Josie Burtis of Trenton, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.


Visitation: There will be no visitation.


Funeral: A private memorial service will be held at a later date for the immediate family.
