Helen T. Seibert

Helen T. Seibert, nee Press, 88, of Belleville, IL, born Feb. 10, 1920 in Belleville, IL, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008 at Four Fountains Convalescent Center in Belleville, IL.


Helen was a visiting nurse’s aide of 30 years for Southwestern Illinois VNA.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin B. Seibert, whom she married in Belleville, IL on May 6, 1940 and who died Aug. 27, 1987; her parents, Rudolph and Mary, nee Orlet, Press; and two brothers, Joseph and Ralph Press.


She is survived by four children, James (Jill) Seibert of O’Fallon, MO, Thomas (Sharon) Seibert of Caseyville, IL, John Seibert of Belleville, IL, and Mary Seibert of Belleville, IL; 10 grandchildren, James (Jeanie) Seibert, Jr., Paul (Laurie) Seibert, Steven Seibert, Robert (Jeannie) Seibert, Kelly (Randy) Haymes, David (Torrie) Seibert, Vicki (Vance) Stine, Katherine “Katie” Elmore, Willie Jo Sayles, and Paula (Kisa) Mwenelupembe; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Betty Press of Colorado, and Elsie Press of Belleville, IL; nieces and nephews.


Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, or the American Heart Association.


Visitation: friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.


Funeral: a funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 at St. George Catholic Church, New Baden, IL with Father Eugene Neff officiating. Interment will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL at a later date.
