Sandra F. Smokowski

Sandra F. Smokowski, 76, of Spring Hill, FL, born Dec. 26, 1932 in Passaic, NJ, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.


Mrs. Smokowski was a retired manager of Household Finance Corporation in Burke, VA.


She was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Mary, nee Marchese, Goldfarb.


She is survived by two sons, Peter (Kathy) Smokowski of Sudbury, MA and Alan (Marie) Smokowski of Riverton, IL; a daughter, Nadine (Howard) Kern of Fredon, NJ; significant other, Dominic Polczynski of Mascoutah, IL; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Alan, Jr., Ashley Smokowski and fiancé, Jonathan Dobson; a great-grandson, Caden Dobson; and a brother, Alvin (Dorothy) Goldfarb of Rehoboth Beach, DE.


Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association.


Visitation: from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: a memorial mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating.
