John A. Hundelt

John A. Hundelt, 80, of St. Libory, IL, born Jan. 16, 1929 in St. Libory, IL, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at the Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, IL.


Mr. Hundelt was a retired farmer and laborer, a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church, St. Libory and a member of St. Clair County Farm Bureau.


He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Agnes, nee Schroer, Hundelt, four brothers, Urban, Clarence, Albin, and Donald Hundelt and his father-in-law, Anton Koeller.


He is survived by his wife, Arlene E., nee Koeller, Hundelt, whom he married in St. Libory, IL on June 11, 1952; two daughters, Linda Bollmeier of Marissa, IL and Nancy (Jerry) Kraus of Biddelborn, IL; four sons, Ron (Donna) Hundelt of Okawville, IL, Steve (Cynthia) Hundelt of Darmstadt, IL, Michael (Terri) Hundelt of New Athens, IL and John Jason Hundelt of Smithton, IL; 11 grandchildren, Brandy (Jerry) Kesler, Melanie and Amanda Bollmeier, Jeremy (Pam) Hundelt, Joel Hundelt and fiancé Kristin Bening, Christina and Bradley Hundelt, Nicole and Stephanie Kraus, Jacob and Alayna Hundelt; a great-granddaughter, Faith Middendorf, mother-in-law, Eleanore Koeller of St. Libory, IL, three brothers, Raymond Hundelt of Fayetteville, IL, Lester (Barb) Hundelt of New Athens, IL, Norbert (Dorene) Hundelt of Yorbalinda, CA, two sisters, Esther Harwerth of New Athens, IL, Viola (Walter) Albers of Lively Grove, IL; also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.


Memorials may be made to St. Liborius Parish Center or in the form of masses.


Visitation: friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home in St. Libory, IL. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.


Funeral: a funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009 at St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, IL with Rev. Dennis Voss officiating. Burial will be in St. Liborius Catholic Cemetery.
