Geri L. Waters

Geri L. Waters, 64, of Mascoutah, IL, formerly of Elizabethton, TN, born Aug. 15, 1944 in Lakeland, FL, died Tuesday, Mar. 3, 2009 at the Lebanon Care Center, Lebanon, IL.


Geri was a retired TSgt. from the U. S. Air Force; he also drove a truck for the last 13 years for Pillsbury and most recently for Mike Brooks out of Knoxville, IA. He was a member of the O’Fallon Masonic Lodge #576 and was a Vietnam War veteran.


He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald L. Waters, Sr., and his stepfather, Bronce Richeson.


He is survived by his wife Lynada S., nee Carlson, Waters whom he married in Belleville, IL on July 20, 1985; his mother, Mary, nee Lewis, Waters Richeson of Elizabethton, TN; a daughter, Cynthia (Col. Roger) Witek of Springfield, VA; a son, Gerald Lee (Trina) Waters III of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren, Leigh Ann Witek, Nicole Waters and Jack Waters; and a brother, Michael Waters of Chapel Hill, NC.


Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.


Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. Burial will be in Happy Valley Cemetery, Elizabethton, TN.
