Mary C. Waigand

Mary C. Waigand, 89, of Mascoutah, IL, born May 6, 1919 in Mascoutah, IL, died Sunday, Mar. 15, 2009 at her residence.


Mary was retired from the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows; a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah; and a member of the HCCCW.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph J. and Barbara, nee Friederich, Waigand; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Loretta (Cletus) Griesbaum, and Helen (John) Davis.


She is survived by a sister, Theresa Waigand of Mascoutah, IL; a nephew, Dan (Angie) Davis of Mascoutah, IL; four nieces, Lucille (Vern) Moehrs of Waterloo, IL, Barb (Larry) Draper of Belleville, IL, Nancy Davis of Mascoutah, IL, and Kathy (Dave) Doucette of Mascoutah, IL; three great nieces; eight great nephews; two great-great nieces; and two great-great nephews.


The family especially thanks Angie and Larry for the loving care they gave to Mary.


Memorials may be made to Holy Childhood Memorial Improvement Fund, the American Cancer Society, or to Family Hospice.


Visitation: friends may call from 8:30 to 10:30 AM Thursday, Mar. 19, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: a funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Mar. 19, 2009 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery in Mascoutah.
