Rebecca F. “Fran” Haas, nee Harrison, 69, of Mascoutah, IL, born Dec. 4, 1939 in Kennett, MO, died Thursday, March 26, 2009 at her residence.
Mrs. Haas was a retired cook from the Mascoutah Junior High School, a school bus aid for the Mascoutah School District 19 and a member of the Holy Childhood Catholic Church, Mascoutah, IL.
She was preceded in death her husband, Norbert F. “Shorty” Haas whom she married in Mascoutah, IL Nov. 11, 1961 and who died March 11, 1996, a son, David Haas, a son-in-law, Danny Malear, her parents, William H. and Grace E., nee Mangold, Harrison, a brother, William Harrison and a sister, Opal Jeffries.
She is survived by a daughter, Laura Malear of Mascoutah, IL; two granddaughters, Renee Haas and Amanda Malear, both of Mascoutah, IL; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Haas; a sister, Shirley Rongey of O’Fallon, IL; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Leroy Haas of Lebanon, IL and Lucille (William) Stratz of Red Bank, NJ.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A prayer service will be held at 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral: A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM Monday, March 30, 2009 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery.
