David E. Moll, 63, of Anderson, CA, formerly of Mascoutah, IL, born May 28, 1946 in Belleville, IL, died Friday, July 3, 2009 at his residence.
After graduating from Mascoutah Community High School in 1964, Dave joined the U. S. Marine Corps and served his country during the Vietnam War as an interpreter. He later received his real estate and finance degree from the University of Illinois. Dave was an avid outdoorsman who loved gardening, fishing, and hiking in the mountains of northern California.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel H. Moll.
He is survived by his mother, Helen I., nee Koch, Moll of Mascoutah, IL; two sisters, Dianne (Robert) Brendel of Mascoutah, IL, and Michelle (Chris) Lindsay of Mascoutah, IL; five brothers, Michael (Sally) Moll of Shiloh, IL, Robert (Debra) Moll of Mascoutah, IL, James (Jana) Moll of Belleville, IL, Daniel J. Moll and friend Marilyn of Collinsville, IL, and Steven (Lisa) Moll of Mascoutah, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Holy Childhood Catholic School Endowment Fund, 215 N. John St., Mascoutah, IL 62258.
Private services will be held and burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery in Mascoutah, IL.
