Mabel C. Bleisch, nee Dickhaut, 100, of Mascoutah, IL, born May 4, 1909 in Mascoutah Township, IL, died Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Mabel was a retired housekeeper and a retired hostess from the Mascoutah Hardees. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed senior travel tours. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah and the Women’s Guild. .


She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward E. and Anna Marie, nee Kruse, Dickhaut, three brothers, Ralph, Russell and Richard Dickhaut and two nephews.


She is survived by a son, Cletus (Patricia) Bleisch of O’Fallon, IL; a daughter, Sabia (Richard) Hinkle of Mascoutah, IL; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, and one step-great-great-grandson.


Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ or MarKa Nursing Home Activity Fund.


Visitation: friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Monday, Sept. 14, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL and Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 9 to 10 AM at the church.


Funeral: funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009 at St. John United Church of Christ with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
