Ethel A. Culli

Ethel A. Culli, nee Mueller, 92, of Belleville, IL formerly of Freeburg, IL, born Nov. 7, 1916 in St. Louis, MO, died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 at her residence.


Ethel was a homemaker, member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Freeburg, IL, and the St. Clair County Farm Bureau.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Olinda, nee Remmert, Mueller; her husband, Roy J. Culli whom she married in Mascoutah, IL on May 15, 1937, and who died Sept. 3, 2003; and a son Ronald Culli who died Nov. 24, 2003.


She is survived by a son, Robert (Judith) Culli of Springfield, IL; a daughter-in-law, Judith Culli of Millstadt, IL; seven grandchildren, Julia (Terry) Hall, Laura (Keith) Jackson, Ronald M. (Amanda) Culli, Jonathan (Linda) Culli, Benjamin (Heather) Culli, Daniel Culli, and Samuel (Lindsey) Culli; 13 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Andrew and Phillip Walz, Victoria Hall, Abigail, Morghan, and Emilie Culli, Madison and Jack Culli, Rachel, Nathan and Leah Culli, and Carlene Culli; three step great-grandchildren, Brandon Hall, Jeremy and Zachary Jackson; and a great great-grandchild, Preston Walz.


Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ in Freeburg, IL, or top any charity of donor’s choice.


Visitation: friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL, and at the church Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 from 9 to 10 am.


Funeral: funeral services will be held 10 am Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Freeburg, IL with Pastor Earl Crecelius officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.
