Harold A. Theismann, 76, of St. Libory, IL, born Sept. 6, 1933 in St. Libory, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009 at his residence.
Harold was a lead man and core operator for Wirco Castings in New Athens, IL; member of St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, past member of St. Libory Moose Lodge, member of the Mascoutah Moose Lodge, and Local 182B in Belleville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Josephine, nee Jansen, Theismann; two sisters, Ruth Ann Scheibel, and Esther Renth; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Emma Bierer; and four brothers-in-law, Bob Underwood, Elwood “Lee” Richter, Gary Campbell, and Ron Bierer.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M., nee Bierer, Theismann who he married at St. Albert the Great in Fairview Heights, IL on Oct. 12, 1955; five children, Debra (Loren) Wentzel of Troy, IL, Jean (Robert) Johnson of Okawville, IL, Kenneth (Pamela) Theismann of Fayetteville, IL, Dianne (Scott) Birnstill of Arnold, MO, and Yvonne (Scott) Stroder of Addieville, IL; five grandchildren, Joshua (fiancé Emily Owen) Stroder, Kimberly Theismann and friend Keenan Scannell, Aaron Stroder, Michael (fiancé Regina Menees) Stroder, and Wade Johnson; two great grandchildren, Lydia Stroder and Miles Stroder; two step-grandchildren, Breanne and Branden Birnstill; a brother, Norman (fiancé Terri Balsman) Theismann of Perryville, MO; seven sisters, Marlene Underwood of Mascoutah, IL, Patricia Richter of Cahokia, IL, Jane (Louis) Sindel of Mascoutah, IL, Joyce Campbell and friend Wes Cook of Warsaw, MO, Virginia (Dave) Brutto of Belleville, IL, Linda (Ken) Kaffer of Belleville, IL, and Joan (fiancé Gerard Newport) Hebel of Vienna, MO; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Verna Theismann of Belleville, IL, Ralph Scheibel of Kirkwood, MO, Al Renth of Mascoutah, IL, Bob and Loretta Bierer of Wright City, MO, Steve Bierer of Okawville, IL, Art and Darlene Bierer of Frazier Park, CA, and Curt Bierer of Frazier Park, CA; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc., in the form of masses, or to St. Liborius Parish Center Building Fund.
Visitation: friends may call from 4 to 9 PM Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, and 7 to 9:30 AM Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home in St. Libory, IL. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 PM Friday evening.
Funeral: a funeral mass will be held 10 am Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, IL with Rev. Dennis Voss officiating. Burial will be in St. Liborius Cemetery in St. Libory.
