Marilyn Ann “Mel” Sinn, nee Mooney, 66, of St. Libory, IL, born Feb. 27, 1943 in Belleville, IL, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 at her home in St. Libory surrounded by her loving family.
Marilyn was a meat clerk for Wennemann’s Meat Market in St. Libory for 20 years, and a cook at the St. Libory Grade School. She was a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, and Daughters of Isabella New Athens Circle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Lucille, nee Recker, Mooney; two brothers, Robert and William Mooney; a sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Schmittling; and two nephews, Bill and Tim Mooney.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald E. Sinn whom she married in St. Libory, IL on May 12, 1962; three daughters, Sherry (Scott) Cordevant of Oakdale, IL, Kelly Sinn of St. Libory, IL, and Tammy (David “George”) Bergmann of Addieville, IL; a grandson, Taylor Cordevant of Oakdale, IL; a step-grandson, Zachery Bergmann of Addieville, IL; a brother Claude (Connie) Mooney of St. Libory, IL; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Memorials may be made St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or to St. Liborius Church.
Visitation: friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home in St. Libory, IL. A Daughters of Isabella service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral: a funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2009 at St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, IL with Rev. Dennis Voss officiating. Burial will be in St. Liborius Catholic Cemetery.
