Erna G. Swaers

Erna G. Swaers, nee Johnson, 95, of New Baden, IL, born Feb. 13, 1915 in Lookingglass Twp., Clinton County, IL, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 at the Carlyle Health Care Center in Carlyle, IL.


Erna was a homemaker, member of Zion United Church of Christ in New Baden, IL and the St. Clair County Farm Bureau.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Auer Swaers, who she married in St. Louis, MO on Sept. 25, 1940 and who died Dec. 27, 1988; and her parents, William and Christine, nee Nuenguesser, Johnson.


Memorials may be made to Zion United Church of Christ, New Baden, IL.


Visitation: a private visitation will be held from 12 noon till 1 PM Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: private funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at Moll Funeral Home with Rev. Gretchen Sterrett officiating. Burial will be in the Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
