Anthony Edward “Tony” Pokojski, 60, of Plainfield, IL, formerly of Mascoutah, IL, born July 18, 1949 in Salem, IL, died Tuesday, Mar. 09, 2010 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL.


Tony was a retired supply foreman from the Union Pacific Railroad, a member of the IBEW Union and a U. S. Navy Vietnam veteran.


He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Anthony Pokojski.


He is survived by his wife, Deborah L., nee Stanley, Pokojski whom he married in November 1972; two children, Jennifer (Kirk) League of Haleyville, AL, and Matthew (Robin) Pokojski of Shiloh, IL; three grandchildren, Kelsey League, Kirk “Kal” League, Jr., and Kaleb Pokojski; his mother, Della, nee Nettles, Pokojski of Trenton, IL; two brothers, Mike (Kathy) Pokojski of New Baden, IL, and Dave (Sue) Pokojski of Trenton, IL; two sisters, Patty (Mitchell) Rick of Waterloo, IL, and Mary (Kenny) Sullivan of Venedy, IL; mother-in-law, Maxine Pratt of Marion, IL; brother-in-law, Gary (Nataliya) Stanley of Bonita Springs, FL; nieces, nephews; an aunt and uncle.


Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.


Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Friday, Mar. 12, 2010 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: a funeral mass will be held at 10 AM Saturday, Mar. 13, 2010 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
