Elizabeth Ann Watschinger

Elizabeth Ann Watschinger, 25, of Mascoutah, IL, born Oct. 10, 1984 in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, Mar. 30, 2010 at her residence.


She was a rehabilitation specialist with Linc in Fairview Heights and a graduate of Mascoutah High School.


Elizabeth loved being with her family.


She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Earl (Mary) Thomas, her paternal grandparents, Oscar (Anita) Watschinger and several aunts and uncles.


She is survived by her parents, Marvin and Judy, nee Thomas, Watschinger; four brothers, William Scott (Erica) Watschinger of Hawaii, Eric Watschinger of New Jersey, Jim (Tereasa) Ward of Shelbyville, TN, John (Brenda) Ward of Kingston Springs, TN; two sisters, Joan (Ralph) Schnellbecher of Millstadt, IL and Janice (Tom) Bruss of New Athens, IL; also survived by aunts and uncles, Betty (Paul) Pluff, Carol Lawton, Jim Thomas, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

When I must leave you for a little while

Please do not grieve and shed wild tears

And hug your sorrow to you through the years.

But start out bravely with a gallant smile;

And for my sake and in my name

Live on and do all things the same,

Feed not your loneliness on empty days,

But fill each waking hour in useful ways,

Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer

And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near;

And never, never be afraid to die,

For I am waiting for you in the sky.


Memorials may be made to the family or charity of donor’s choice.

Funeral: memorial services will be held 11 AM Monday, April 5, 2010 at St. John U.C.C, Mascoutah, IL with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating.
