Nettie F. Harris

Sis. Nettie Harris was born in Nacogdoches County, Texas to Booker T. W. and Rebecca R. Harris on January 14, 1940. She entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. She was a faithful member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Riverside, California where she lived from her childhood through most of her adult life until relocating to Belleville, Illinois in 2004. She faithfully attended New Life In Christ Interdenominational Church in Lebanon, IL.

She was united in marriage twice, to Bobby E. Magby I and William Monroe Palmer Jr., who preceded her in death.

She worked as a librarian at the Riverside Public Library in Riverside and retired as an in-home-care-giver to the elderly in 2003. For many years, she ran a day care center out of her home and opened her home to several foster children over a 10 year period.

She leaves to mourn her passing four children, Bobby Eugene Magby II, Belynda Alecia Harris, Beryl Avis Brown, William Monroe Palmer II; daughter-in-law, Jamie Magby, son-in-laws Johnnie Harris and Tyrone Brown; nine grandchildren: JayOmar S. Harris, Stephen A. Brockington, Rebecca T. Harris, Kendal M. Brockington, Bobby E. Magby III, Trevor L. Brockington, Kylee S. Magby, Beryl A. Harris, Jasmyne A. Harris; two great grandchildren: LaHeaven Brockington and Kalab Brockington; her sister LaFern Cunningham, brothers Booker T. W. Harris, Jr. and Quinn Harris.
