Brian P. "Zim" Zimmermann

Brian P. “Zim” Zimmermann, 34, of Mascoutah, IL, born Nov. 3, 1975 in Belleville, IL, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at his residence.


Zim was an avid fan of area stock car racing and NASCAR. He was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church.


He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence (Vangie) Zimmermann and his maternal grandparents, Carl “Sugar” (Estelle) Hoercher.


He is survived by his parents, Paul and Donna, nee Hoercher, Zimmermann of Mascoutah, IL; a sister, Tammy (Shane) Smothers of Beckemeyer, IL; twin nephews, Matthew Brian and Nicholas Robert Smothers.; also survived by, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation: from 4 to 9 PM Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A prayer service will be held 5:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.


Funeral: a funeral mass will be held 10 AM Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery.
