Lois L. Schroeder

Lois L. Schroeder, nee Stilley, 84, and Robert A. Schroeder, 83, of Mascoutah, IL, passed away hours apart on Aug. 9, 2010 at their residence. They were married in Belleville, IL on Sept. 11, 1949 and enjoyed over 60 years of marriage.


Lois was a homemaker and Robert a retired farmer. They were members of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL, and members of the Mascoutah Moose Lodge.


Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie R. and Lydia, nee Rust, Stilley; a stepmother, Marie Stilley, two half-brothers, DeWayne and Gerald Stilley; a step-sister, Beverly Barnes; and two half-sisters, Barbara Robertson and Emma Thorson.


Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver G. and Magdalena J., nee Zotz, Schroeder; and his wife Lois.


They are survived by a son, Alan Schroeder of Kiel, Germany; a daughter, Sharon (John) Logan of Trenton, IL; two grandchildren, Christopher (Joy) Logan and Shane (Melissa) Logan; four great-grandchildren, Claire, Oliver, Holly, and Isabella Logan; Lois’s half-sister, Joyce Vold of Range, WI; Robert’s sister, Rosemary Berberich of Lebanon, IL; nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010 and from 7:30 to 10 AM Thursday Aug. 12, 2010 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: Joint funeral services will be held 10 AM Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah with The Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will follow in the Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
