Vera J. Comstock

Vera J. Comstock, nee Bleiler, 98, of Mascoutah, IL, born June 12, 1912 in Hanover, WI, died Sept. 10, 2010 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.


Vera was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Mascoutah, IL.


She was preceded in death by her first husband, Riley Keele, who died June 16, 1972, her second husband, Marvin R. Comstock, who died Aug. 28, 1996 and her parents, John and Anna Marie, nee Stauffacher, Bleiler.


She is survived by a son, Darrell Lee (Shirley) Comstock of Palmyra, MO; two daughters, Barbara Ann “Bobby” (Warren) Klingel of Mascoutah, IL and Carol (Dale) Breckel of Breese, IL; ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.


Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Mascoutah, IL or Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc.


Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL and 10 to 11 AM Monday, Sept. 13 at the church.


Funeral: Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, Sept. 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church, Mascoutah, IL with Pastor Duane Smith officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, Sept. 13, 2010 at Paradise Cemetery in Salem, IL.
