Ruth E. Koller

Ruth E. Koller, nee Kaufman, 62, of Mascoutah, IL, born Nov. 7, 1947 in Alhambra, IL, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010 at her residence.


Ruth retired as a playground supervisor from the Mascoutah Middle School after 18 years. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah; the VFW Auxiliary in Fairview Heights, IL; and former member of the Mascoutah Tuesday Woman’s Club.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Lamoine and Elizabeth, nee McIntire, Kaufman; and a sister, Mabel Lands.


She is survived by her husband, Robert F. Koller, whom she married in Alhambra, IL on June 8, 1974; a son, Noel Koller of Mascoutah, IL, and a daughter Janis Garland of Mascoutah, IL; a brother, Gene (Melinda) Kaufman of Bloomington, IL; mother-in-law, Ruth Barnett of Cornith, MS; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Larry Lands of Mascoutah, IL, and Betty and Bill Burell of Cornith, MS; nephew, Aaron (Kristen) Lands of Lebanon, IL; nieces, Rebecca (Terry) Amburgey of Mascoutah, IL, and Amberly (Greg) Stallard of Chicago, IL; a great niece Abbie Lands, a great nephew, Alex Amburgey; other nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.


In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assn. or to Belleville Humane Society.


Visitation: visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah; and from 9 to 10 AM Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 at the Church.


Funeral: funeral services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL with Rev. Joey Feldmann officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
