Dorothy C. Hyatt

Dorothy C. Hyatt, nee Bereswill, 89, of Fayetteville, IL formerly of Cahokia, IL, born Oct. 27, 1921 in St. Louis, MO, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 at Memorial Hospital.


Dorothy was a homemaker, a member of St. Pancratius Church in Fayetteville, IL formerly a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Centreville, IL.


She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Hyatt whom she married in St. Louis, MO on Oct. 1, 1949 and who died Feb. 6, 1996, her parents, Martin and Catherine, nee Becker, Bereswill, and two brothers, Martin and Wilfred Bereswill.


She is survived by two sons, Michael F. Hyatt of Fayetteville, IL, Thomas (Carol) Hyatt of Fredericktown, MO; a daughter, Mary (Ralph) Carr of Belleville, IL; two grandchildren, Joseph and Alexander Hyatt; a sister, Mildred (Bob) Maguire of Roanoke, VA; also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation: from 10 to 11:00 AM Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 at St. Pancratius Church in Fayetteville, IL.


Funeral: a funeral mass will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Nov. 30 at St. Pancratius Church with Fr. Elmar Mauer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Pancratius Cemetery.
