Kathryn Beelman

Kathryn Beelman, nee Bozsa, 89, of St. Libory, IL, born Nov. 29, 1921 in East St. Louis, IL, died at her home on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010.


Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna Bozsa; four brothers; four sisters; a son, Daniel Beelman; two grandchildren, Michael Friederich and Drew Lintker.


She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Frank J. Beelman; three children, Nancy Friederich, Susan (Ray) Sommer, and Frank “Sam” (Shelly) Beelman III, nine grandchildren, Bill (Mindie) Friederich, Tim Friederich, Andy Friederich, Joel Sommer, Ryan Sommer, Megan Sommer, Dane Lintker, Liz Beelman, and Frank Beelman IV; two great-grandchildren, Brook and Michael Friederich. She is also survived by two sisters, Rose (Paul) Heimrich, and Sue Schuette.


Kay was a wonderful mother and grandmother with a great sense of humor. She was also secretary/treasurer of Beelman Truck Company for more than 50 years.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, 305 South Illinois St., Belleville, IL 62220; or to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131.


Visitation: Private family visitation only.


Funeral: A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, IL with Father Stan Konieczny and Father Dennis Voss officiating. Burial will be in St. Liborius Catholic Cemetery in St. Libory.
