Marian L. Pollmann

Marian L. Pollmann, nee Firnkes, 76, of Mascoutah, IL, born Dec. 8, 1934 in Belleville, IL, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010 at the MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Marian was a retired comptroller from Peerless-Premier Appliance Co. in Belleville; a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL; Zonta Club of Mascoutah; VFW Auxiliary 1739 of Belleville, IL; and Daughters of Isabella.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Louise, nee Weidert, Firnkes; a brother, Bernard Firnkes; and a sister, Jacqueline Firnkes.


She is survived by her husband, Henry J. Pollmann whom she married in Belleville, IL on Apr. 16, 1955; a daughter, Chadyeane (Robert) Olson of Decatur, IL; two grandchildren, Candace Olson of Decatur, IL, and Clinton Olson of Decatur, IL; a great granddaughter, Alexis Wisely of Decatur, IL.

Visitation: from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday Dec. 28, 2010 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A prayer service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday; a Zonta Club service at 7 PM Tuesday, and a VFW Auxiliary Service at 7:30 PM Tuesday all at the funeral home.


Funeral: a funeral mass will be held 10 AM Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Entombment will be in Green Mount Catholic Mausoleum in Belleville, IL.
