Adelia M. Hangsleben, 96, of Belleville, IL, formerly of Mascoutah, IL, born Apr. 29, 1914 in Engelmann Township, IL, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 in her residence at St. Paul’s Apartments in Belleville, IL.
Adelia was a retired secretary from E. J. Renth Motors in Mascoutah, IL; and member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman F. and Emilie L., nee Fries, Hangsleben; two brothers, Herman F. G. and Harvey Hangsleben; two sisters, Emilie M. Gueldig, and Lisetta L. Hangsleben; and a niece, Jean Hangsleben in infancy.
She is survived by three nephews, Philip Gueldig of Davison, MI, Roger and Sherman Hangsleben of Indianapolis, IN; dear friend, Nan Hendrickson; and her loving caregivers.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund, or Espenschied Chapel in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
Visitation: Friends may call from 9 to 11 AM Monday, Jan. 3, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church, Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, Jan. 3, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church, Mascoutah, IL with Pastor Leonard Laetsch and Seminarian David Abuya officiating. Burial will be in the Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
