Margarite E. Jung

Margarite E. Jung, nee Fellin, 84, of Mascoutah, IL, born Apr. 24, 1926 in Mascoutah, IL, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, IL.


Margarite was a retired office manager from Wessel’s Supermarket formerly of Belleville, and a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Mathilda, nee Brueckner, Fellin; her husband, Paul A. Jung whom she married in Mascoutah on June 4, 1946 and who died Aug. 27, 2002; twin daughters, twin sons, and two brothers, Eugene and John Fellin.


She is survived by five children, Roger (Merrilee) Jung of Aurora, IL, Kenneth (Linda Olivia) Jung of Piedmont, MO, Patricia Derickson of Mascoutah, IL, Gary (Marilyn) Jung of Troy, IL, and Keith Jung of Smithton, IL; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sister Mary Fellin, RC of Chicago, IL, and Sister Martha Fellin, DHM of Holyoke, MA; two sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law; nieces and nephews.


Memorials may be made to Holy Childhood Memorial Improvement Fund, or to Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc.


Visitation: visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A prayer service will be held at 5 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.


Funeral: a funeral mass will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 at the Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
