Mildred I. Anthony

Mildred I. Anthony, nee Ford, 89, of New Memphis, IL, born May 12, 1921 in Greenfield, TN died Jan. 9, 2011 at Clinton Manor Living Center in New Baden, IL.


Mildred was a homemaker and a member of the New Memphis Community Club. She loved to sew, quilt, embroider and crochet. She also enjoyed cooking and preserving food.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur C. Anthony, her parents, Floyd and Imogene, nee Aylor, Ford, a sister, Hazel Morgan, her brothers, Thomas and Fred Ford and a son-in-law, Ronald R. Hicks.


Surviving are her daughter, Janet G. Hicks of New Memphis, IL; her granddaughter, Dianna K. Hicks of Shiloh, Il; and loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral: graveside services will be held 11 AM Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 at the Green Mount Cemetery in New Baden, IL with Rev. Mike Garrison officiating.
