Sharon I. Pierce

Sharon I. Pierce, nee Graul, 61, of Mascoutah, IL, born June 25, 1949 in Belleville, IL, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011 at her residence.


Sharon was a patient accounts specialist at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL; a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL; and member of Zonta Club of Mascoutah.


She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred E. Graul.


She is survived by a son, Chris (Heidi) Pierce of Mascoutah, IL; two cherished grandchildren, Maryella and Nathaniel Pierce; her mother, Viola A., nee Mueller, Graul of Mascoutah, IL; a sister, Donna (Bruce) Vai of Nashville, TN; a nephew, Eric Vai of Mt. Juliet, TN; a niece, Alison Vai of Lavergne, TN; a great aunt, Dorothy Schrempp of Mascoutah, IL; numerous cousins and friends.


Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah.


Visitation: friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL, and from 9 to 10 AM Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah. A Zonta service will be held at 7 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.


Funeral: funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 at St. John United Church of Christ with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
